Catching an employer’s attention can be tricky sometimes. Here are 5 tips to write the best CV and enhance your chances to find the perfect internship/job!
Keep it clear and concise! No need to say to much, your potential employer has to be able to see in a few glances if you are up to the job. An eye-tracking resume study done by TheLadders found that potential employers looks at each resume for only 6 seconds!
Ensure that your CV is easy to read, you need to organize it in clear categories. First, you need to be clearly identified. So on the top of your CV should your personal information: name, address, up-to-date contact information such as, phone number(s) and email address.
Don’t forget to also specialize your CV for the job you’re applying for. It may be obvious for you, but not for a employer who deals with dozens of CV.
Then, order you CV in four other categories : work experience, education and training, personal skills and additional information.

Even if you have to be concise, don’t only write the titles of your former jobs. You need to give the details of your missions, keeping in mind that it will lead your potential employer to see if you’re the right candidate for the job.
In the work experience or education and training category, always put your latest experience at the top. And don’t put experience which would be too old. Your employer wants to know who you are now, not which primary school you had attended.
